The Formulation Science & Technology Group (FSTG) and the Surface Coatings Interest Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry are organising “Formulating Functional Films and Coatings II”, which will be held in Burlington House, Piccadilly, London on the 11th of November.
The symposium follows the previous meeting held in 2015 and highlights the advances in the field of formulation of films and coatings with contributions from industry and academia covering barrier in flexible electronics, inks which enable smart sensors, active and passive coatings for glass, nanoencapsulation for heat storage, colour from nanocelluloses and highlights of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie EU funded SUSTICOAT project. The programme has been structured as four main sessions – Control of transport through coatings, Smart coatings, Sensing and sensed coatings, Sustainability.
The symposium will also include a poster session, where attendees will have the opportunity to show recent results achieved in their research work. Submission of posters is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as academic and industrial researchers. For both academics and industrialists, this will be a great opportunity to share knowledge and find new collaborations. Poster submission details.
Students with accepted poster can also request a registration fee waiver.
The deadline for submission of posters is Monday 21st October. Proposals submitted after Monday 21st October will not be considered. Poster format and layout are at the discretion of the authors, limited to maximum landscape size of A1 and maximum portrait size of A0.
